- You're perfectly right, the Mac list manager is very limited and ODF will
- need a more general Table widget soon.
-
- Just to expand a little bit on what Bernhard and Mark said:
-
- - We decided that it was better to start with a limited FW_CListBox in
- ODF 1 and cover a large % of needs rather than trying to do too much and
- run the risk of not having anything ready in time.
-
- - Future versions of ODF will come every 4 months now, and we want to add
- more powerful views agressively, especially those not based on native
- widgets, because we are also preparing our support of Windows later this
- year.
-
- - One of the goals of Apple frameworks group is to leverage more work
- between MacApp and ODF. ODF will take advantage of several elements of
- MacApp view system.
-
- - A Table view is high on the list. I can't promise it will make it
- officially in ODF 2, but in the mean time we can help with Bernhard's
- first implementation for an internal project.
-
- We do need as much feedback as possible to help us set our priorities for
- ODF view system and visual tools in general!
-
- Thanks,
-
